They believe that the fight against malaria begins with education and prevention. Through lively workshops and creative children's tales, they have been teaching school children and families how protect themselves from this preventable disease.<\/p><p class=\" translation-block\">The ultimate goal is to empower communities with knowledge and practical skills to prevent malaria, empowering communities with wisdom and confidence to build a healthier malaria-free future. During their visit to Nanga, Kisumu, the team planted the seeds and organized the collection, distribution, and cultivation of the Artemisia annual plant among the households within the community. They also taught community members how Kisumu's weather and soil conditions are ideal for cultivating Artemisia and Spirulina.<\/p><p class=\" translation-block\">These plants not only strengthen the immune system but also contribute to malaria prevention and overall wellness Artemisia serves as a natural mosquito repellent and can be consumed as an herbal tea, while Spirulina can be incorporated into porridge meals.
