Malaria is an infectious disease caused by the parasite of the genus Plasmodium and transmitted by a vector, the female mosquito Anopheles, but there are causes that contribute to the increase and resurgence of this disease:

- Lack of hygiene (smell of sweat on the skin or on the cloth, garbage inside and outside the houses)

- Lack of treatments, wrong treatments or treatments that are not finished
- Genetic mutations in the parasite and in the mosquito that makes them more resistant
- Deforestation
- Changes in the environment
- Climate change
